About

Bioengineer who ended up in product. What I care about is how human beings actually interact with the things we build, directly or through agents, deliberately or by instinct.

That question started as a student building flexible biosensors and setting up collaborations between disciplines, then crystallised in a research role at Imperial, watching how people in Cambodia and Tanzania used (and didn't use) low-cost orthopaedic devices. It's been the thread ever since, through inaglobe, EXPeditions, Ankorstore, GoCardless, and now Superposition.bio.

I'm at my best building or co-founding new things, where the human side of the problem hasn't been figured out yet. The question I keep returning to is what interaction looks like, especially when half of it is now beginning to be delegated, automated, or sensed rather than chosen. I can't help thinking in systems.
